BMI Calculator

BMI is the abbreviation for your Body Mass Index. In order to calculate your BMI, you need to know your height and weight. Knowing your BMI is of particular importance as it not only gives you a Goal Weight range but also divulges whether or not you are at risk for a number of health problems including (but not limited to); high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke and osteoarthritis. The ideal BMI should be between 20 and 25.

 

Below is a break-down of the BMI categories:

Anorexia < 17.5 < 17.5
Underweight < 19.1 < 20.7
In normal range 19.1 - 25.8 20.7 - 26.4
Marginally overweight 25.8 - 27.3 26.4 - 27.8
Overweight 27.3 - 32.3 27.8 - 31.1
Very overweight or obese > 32.3 > 31.1
Severly Obese 35 - 40 35 - 40
Morbidly Obese 40 - 50 40 - 50
Super Obese 50 - 60 50 - 60
